Mr. John P. Rogers

Mr. Rogers

Mr. Rogers has been in education since 1993.  He is a graduate ofGrafton High School, Fairmont State College, West Virginia University, and Salem International University.  During his teaching career, Mr. Rogers has taught at all grade levels and has taught special education and WV Studies. He has worked at Adamston and Liberty in Harrison County.

Mr. Rogers started his administrative career at Gore and Washington Irving Middle Schools in 2006.  He was named Assistant Principal at Mountaineer Middle School when it opened in 2007.  In 2010, he was named Principal of Mountaineer Middle School.  In 2013, Mr. Rogers was named WV Middle School Principal of the Year. Since 2019, Mr. Rogers also is a mentor administrator for the WV School Leaders Network.

Mr. Rogers lives in Clarksburg with his wife, Claudine, and his two sons, Andrew and Anthony.

Mrs. Melissa Nelson

Mrs. Nelson

Mrs. Nelson has been in education since 2005. During her teaching career she has taught at Gore Middle School, Washington Irving Middle School. Nutter Fort Intermediate, and Middle School Summer Academy. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, M.A. in Special Education Multicategory, and certifications in Autism and Professional Administration. 

Mrs. Nelson lives in Clarksburg with her husband, Michael, and three daughters, Taylor, Channelle, and Myka. She enjoys hanging out with her family and loves watching WVU football and the Baltimore Ravens.
