Charleston, WV (Saturday, November, 11th, 2023) – Members of the South Harrison FFA Chapter were named champions of the West Virginia Farm Bureau’s Quiz Bowl Competition held in conjunction with the West Virginia Farm Bureau’s Annual Meeting at the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. This marks the third consecutive year for South Harrison Students to win the state-wide competition.
Teams of four competed in three rounds, and the final two teams competed in front of the Farm Bureau membership. Topics included: general agriculture; farm safety; farm to fork; state agriculture laws; US Constitution; WV Constitution; the legislative process; Civics and others. South Harrison took two of the three rounds of competition and won the series by more than one hundred points, beating the team from Monroe County FFA. Team members were Alivia Baker, Spencer Nolan, Bennett Luo, and Olivia Marshall.
